About Anthony
Years of Service: 22
Title: Operations Manager
Anthony Wilder is an Operations Manager in Marlborough, Massachusetts. During his 22 years with Rinchem, he has worked as both a Warehouse Supervisor and Operations Manager. Those roles have given him a firsthand understanding of the work happening on the front line and the responsibility that comes with leading a team.
Working for Rinchem
When asked how he found Rinchem, Anthony joked, “They found me!” What has kept him here is the opportunity to work with people across the company, even when those teammates are hundreds or thousands of miles apart.
The collaboration between teams is one of the things Anthony enjoys most about working at Rinchem. Although employees may be separated by distance, they continue to share knowledge, solve problems, and support one another.
Anthony is especially proud of the growth he has seen in the teammates he has led. For him, leadership is about helping people build confidence, develop their skills, and take the next step in their careers. He also works to be a steady resource when challenges come up. When a teammate brings him a problem, Anthony focuses on remaining calm and responding quickly with the right information.
Lessons Learned
One lesson has stayed with Anthony throughout his career: “Invest quality time on the front line. That’s where the real work happens.”
For Anthony, staying close to the work helps a leader understand what the team needs and provide better support. It also creates opportunities to listen, learn, and see firsthand where improvements can be made.
His advice to anyone starting in chemical logistics is equally direct: never hesitate to stop the line and ask a question. Laws and requirements can change from year to year, and speaking up is an important part of keeping people and operations safe.
