What are Rinchem’s hours of operation?
Rinchem’s hours of operation vary by site. You can visit our locations pages to view the individual hours and download brochures by warehouse.
Most Rinchem sites operate Monday through Friday with general warehouse hours falling between 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM local time. While some locations operate extended hours or support limited Saturday/Sunday receiving, others offer appointment-only access.
Do you operate 24/7?
Most Rinchem facilities operate Monday through Friday, with extended hours at specific warehouses based on customer needs.

Yes. Rinchem strategically locates its warehouses near major ports, airports, and manufacturing centers to support efficient supply chain operations. Some examples:
- Cornelius, OR facility is located near the Portland metro area with access to regional semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing.
- Penang, Malaysia site is located in the Batu Kawan Industrial Park near key electronics and pharma manufacturers.
- Savannah, GA facility is minutes from the Port of Savannah, one of the busiest in the U.S.
- Flemington, NJ site offers access to the Northeast corridor and New York/New Jersey port complex.
Can you store hazardous materials like flammables or corrosives?
Yes. Rinchem specializes in the storage and handling of hazardous materials across a broad range of classifications. Our network supports:
- Class 2: Compressed and liquefied gases (e.g., flammable, toxic, and inert gases)
- Class 3: Flammable and combustible liquids
- Class 4: Flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion, and substances that emit flammable gases when in contact with water
- Class 5: Oxidizers and organic peroxides
- Class 6: Toxic and infectious substances
- Class 8: Corrosives (including acids and bases)
- Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous goods
- Non-regulated materials: stored under the same safety and segregation protocols

Do you segregate materials?
Yes. Rinchem uses engineered segregation zones, compatibility matrices, and dedicated rooms to ensure incompatible materials are separated safely. What sets us apart is that our segregation approach is system-driven and not reliant on individual knowledge.
Our systems are designed to guide storage decisions using pre-defined compatibility logic, ensuring consistent, regulatory-compliant segregation across our global network. Warehouses are also designed with built-in ‘guardrails’ to protect against cross-contamination and maintain regulatory compliance.
Do you support bulk materials (liquids, gases, aerosols)?

Yes. Rinchem offers validated temperature-controlled storage across our network of warehouses that offer a wide range of environments engineered to protect sensitive and regulated materials.
Our capabilities include:
- Cold storage: 0°C to 10°C (32°F to 50°F)
- Freezer storage: -30°C to -5°C (-22°F to 23°F), including walk-in and specialty freezers
- Ambient storage: 15°C to 26°C (59°F to 79°F), with tighter ranges available as needed (e.g., 21°C ± 3°C, 22°C ± 3°C)
- Warm/heated storage: 65°F to 95°F (18°C to 35°C), available at select locations
Specialized ranges: Precision-controlled options such as 2°C ± 2°C, 6°C ± 3°C, and other validated conditions are available to support specific product requirements

Our cleanroom capabilities support procedures that demand tighter particulate and environmental control, including:

Can you repackage or transfer bulk materials into smaller containers?
Not at this time, but we are exploring this capability for future implementation.

Yes. We support API and EDI integrations with most ERP, TMS, and compliance systems.
Are your facilities licensed for hazmat storage?
Yes. All sites are properly licensed, and many are ISO 9001 certified with H3+ fire code compliance.
What is your emergency response approach?
Our team is trained in spill containment and emergency response. Infrastructure includes engineered safety systems and rapid response protocols. We have vendors in place for emergency response to spill cleanup.
Can you help me confirm material compatibility?
Yes. Our compliance team will perform a material review and provide storage recommendations.
Do you provide Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management?
Yes. We maintain SDS records and ensure GHS, NFPA, and HMIS compliance.

How are you different from a general 3PL?

Do you own your transportation fleet?
Yes. We operate CGL Transport and Carolina Tank Lines to support our warehousing and logistics network with hazmat-trained drivers and equipment.
Who retains title to consigned goods?
The supplier retains title until Chem-Star sell-over/consumption is executed.
Can Rinchem bill storage to either party?
Yes, contract can designate supplier or end user as bill-to for storage and handling.
How is sell-over triggered?
Supplier initiates in Chem-Star (or automatically via integration/MRP); PO/reference is captured for audit.
What visibility do we get?
Real-time inventory, lots, aging/FEFO, movements, and report-outs in Chem-Star.
Does Rinchem take title?
No—Rinchem operates as the 3PL custodian/bailee; title transfers per the contract at sell-over.
Is this viable for hazmat and temperature-controlled materials?
Yes; Rinchem’s network specializes in hazardous/temperature-controlled storage and DG transport.
