Rinchem is proud to share that Rinchem Company, CGL Transport, and Carolina Tank Lines have renewed their registration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay® Transport Partnership.

What Is SmartWay®?
SmartWay® is a public-private partnership between the U.S. EPA and the freight industry that helps companies track and improve freight efficiency while working to reduce emissions. For transportation and logistics providers, it offers a practical framework for evaluating performance and identifying opportunities to operate more efficiently.
Supporting More Responsible Transportation
For companies moving regulated materials, transportation decisions go beyond the road. Efficiency, accountability, and long-term sustainability all play a role in building supply chains that are not only dependable, but more responsible. Continued participation in the SmartWay Transport Partnership reflects that mindset.
While SmartWay registration is one piece of a broader sustainability journey, it represents the kind of practical progress that helps move the industry forward. It is not about a single initiative or one-time milestone. It is about continuing to look for smarter, more efficient ways to move freight while supporting safer, stronger supply chains.

Why It Matters
For customers, programs like SmartWay matter because they support better visibility into how freight is managed and where efficiencies can be gained. Moving chemicals and other regulated products require careful planning, disciplined execution, and a strong focus on doing things the right way. Maintaining SmartWay registration aligns with that approach by reinforcing the importance of operational efficiency across transportation activities.
“Renewing our SmartWay registration is one more way we reinforce our commitment to responsible operations. SmartWay helps us evaluate performance through a practical, measurable lens, while supporting the same data-driven, disciplined approach we apply to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement,” said Melody Moore, Rinchem’s Director of Quality & EHS.
Looking Ahead
Rinchem, CGL Transport, and Carolina Tank Lines are honored to continue participating in the SmartWay Transport Partnership and to remain focused on the work behind it: improving efficiency, supporting responsible operations, and helping customers navigate complex logistics with confidence.
